Casey’s White Sapphire Short Sleeve Christening Dress with Matching Headband

Casey’s White Sapphire Short Sleeve Christening Dress is a gorgeous and timeless piece made with love in South Africa by an all female team. This dress is an extremely special dress, which I hold closely to my heart. It was an idea, “A maybe one day, this will be the little princess dress with the gorgeous oversized bow I had always dreamt of”.

I thought a dress that makes a Mommy’s heart beam with pride seeing her baby girl in an absolutely stunning ball-room/princess inspired dress, a show-stopper, a comfortable dress that baby will be more than happy wearing for hours without becoming niggly or irritated with harsh fabrics annoying her on such an auspicious day.

So with much thought, changes, variants, tweaks, tears of joy, compliments, my dream became an answered prayer.

The dress is made of Venetian/Guipure bridal lace, lined, then layers of hard tulle form part of the skirt of the dress to create a princess gown look which is full and voluminous, completed with silky soft white tulle which looks oh-so-dreamy and perfectly comfortable for your baby or toddler.

All our dresses are lined and an average cut size, made in South Africa.

Finally my dresses are not complete if they do not have a bow. A gorgeous ensemble was completed with a large full bow with legs and belt on the bodice where the tutu/princess skirt meet.

I am obsessed with large/oversized bows! SO… a gorgeous bow was a non-negotiable in the stages of completing the finale! And Oh-my – did the additional CHNAGES create the ‘WOW Factor” I have always been so desperately wanting to create.

So Bows, bridal lace, Duchess satin for the shoes, headband and nappy cover/bloomers we finally completed what I had envisioned. I would say probably even more so! Other dresses were designed from this dress and the Casey White Sapphire Christening Dress was born.

It remains the number 1 Best-selling dress. It exudes a timeless, classic,  princess look with variants born from this dress the long sleeve was the original. They were originally made in white (still the best selling colour) but we offer a variety of colours to choose form since they are made on order, and often these dresses are used for celebrations other than Christenings or Baptisms.

We work on lead times, due to external influences which may arise and that remain completely out of our control. We kindly request orders to be placed well in advance to make provision for the following:

• To avoid delays in courier
• Provision for alterations or new garments being made in the event of incorrect sizing
• Area dependent – Regional/High Risk/ Packages being returned due to clients being unavailable/Incorrect addresses provided.
• Incorrect Service Levels selected.
• Fabric Shortages
• Add on to existing orders i.e. Order placed and client decides to add extra items to an existing order or requires last minute changes to colours/embellishments/sleeves or variations in styles.

We are always happy to alter our dresses slightly, add long, short sleeves or alter a set or dress. Colour Palettes may be shared too, assisting with advice on colour palettes is a challenge I enjoy. But just a few things to note:

The 3-Colour Rule is a classic styling guideline suggesting that not more than three colours are worn in a in a single outfit/ensemble or visual composition. It may prevent a look, especially in an outfit for a Christening, where colour palettes are traditionally soft, consist of the main theme colour – usually white/off white/ivory or cream and a pastel colour or secondary brighter colour. 

Your colour palette should not too busy or you may begin to lose the look or feel you want to create. It also prevents a classic desired look from becoming too chaotic while ensuring an effortless, cohesive, and intentional appearance or theme into an effortless, cohesive, and intentional appearance.
